Plushbottoms

A small, curated bookstore of rare, unusual, and quietly remarkable volumes — from the founder’s highly esoteric personal collection dating back to his time at Harvard and at New York University, Institute of Film and Television, Simply ask for Lady Plushbottom—she’ll be happy to assist you. Her and her plush bottom. Lord Plushbottom stays away from day-to-day operations.

A Boutique Bookstore

Plushbottoms is a growing collection of books chosen for their charm, their strangeness, their beauty, or their unexpected ability to make a buck. Some are rare. Some are obscure. Some are simply too head-scratching not to share.

Each book is selected with care, or at least quickly.

Why These Books?

Standards™ has always lived in a world shaped by stories —wry tales of attacking unsuspecting campers, for example. Plushbottoms reflects that world.

The books here are chosen because they:

  • spark curiosity

  • reward close reading

  • remind the founder not to drink

  • carry a touch of boutique absurdity

  • feel like they belong in Standards’ universe were Standards able to, you know…read

This is not a large bookstore. It is a thoughtful one.

A Note from the Founder

Plushbottoms began as a personal project — a way to share the books that shaped the tone, humor, and emotional intelligence behind Standards™.

As the collection grows, new volumes will be added, each chosen with intention and care. Some will be rare finds. Some will be beloved classics. All will be part of the world we’re building.

Thank you for visiting this small corner of the project.
